Three Kennedy Catholic Teams in Postseason Action Saturday

SOMERS, N.Y. – Three Kennedy Catholic High School teams will compete in their respective postseasons on Saturday.

First, the Archdiocesan Champion varsity volleyball team, which competes in the NY Archdiocese Class AA, will travel to St. Francis Prep in Queens for the CHSAA State Championship Tournament. The game begins at 10 a.m.

The girls soccer team, the 2013 City Champions, will face Nardin Academy in the state semifinals. The Lady Gaels have a record of 18-2 this year and have outscored opponents by the incredibly lopsided total of 93-3, which includes the playoffs. The game is scheduled for 11:30 a.m.

Finally, the boys soccer team, the Archdiocesan Champions, will face McClancy from Brooklyn at Fordham University. The Gaels went undefeated this season with a 16-0-1 record. The game is set for 7:30 p.m.
